Cold Temperature

Most standard UV Black and Natural cable ties are made from Nylon 6/6 which has a low-temperature rating of -40C. This is the material rating, not the installation/operating low temperature which is more around 32F/0C. When sourcing cable ties for cold temperature applications you will want to look for Nylon 6/6 cable ties specifically made for lower temperatures or cable ties that have more weather resistance, not just UV-rated/resistance. Other options could be cable ties made with other specialty polymers such as Polypropylene which has a low temperature operating rating of -76F, Tefzel/Fluoropolymer which has a low temperature operating rating of -60C, or you could even consider using our fully 316 designed stainless steel cable ties which have a low temperature operating rating of -110 in both the standard and Black Polyester coating versions.
